Well it goes without saying that 2020 was a tough year for pretty much everyone, With pubs and restaurants closed for months on end the brewing industry has been hit hard and we've seen a few much loved breweries have to cease trading and even shut up shop entirely.

This saw our trade sales drop by around 85% in 2020, and back in March/April we weren't sure whether we would survive. With the huge drop in trade sales, we got to work improving our direct retail sales, upgraded our website and moved the majority of our beer production over to cans and mini-kegs. With your support we managed to keep our heads above water and build our retail sales to the point where we covered all our bills and we could start looking forward at plans for the return to more normal trading conditions in 2021.

Fast forward to today, and we're really excited about what we have planned at the brewery site.. but we need your help to make it a reality!

THE YARD
We have plans to open an awesome new venue right here at the brewery, utilising the outside space we have right next to where we brew our beer. You'll be able to drink super fresh beer just metres from the brewing vessels and soak up the atmosphere of our new inside/outside space. We plan to open the Yard Fri-Sun from April through to Sept/Oct.

The Yard will be a 150 capacity inside/outside venue with a substantial stretch tent, all the usual facilities and plenty of seating with a 15 tap Keg bar showcasing our full range of beers and some of our favourite brews from independent breweries across Wales and the UK.
We'll have a constantly changing food offering from Street food pop ups, so you can try something different each weekend.

THE YARD LAUNCH PARTY

We'll be selling 150 tickets to our opening party at 'The Yard' currently pencilled in for bank holiday Saturday 5th June , We'll have Acoustic Live Music, super fresh beer and two of our favourite food producers in the shape of 'Cwlbox' and 'Feast'. The Launch party will be a celebration of local Beer + Food, grab a ticket and you'll be among the first to experience our exciting new venue!
